Topping
Topping Haggerty has performed and directed improvisation for many years, mostly in New York City and San Francisco, though for that last bunch of years she's been working her improv magic in Austin, TX (Yeehaw!). She also dabbles in music, writing, and mini-videos. She is also the winner of 'Austin Sings for George Takei' and 'Project ED's Scary Word' contests. And this year (2016), once again, Topping had fun partificpated in the 48 Hour Film Project in Austin TX and made 'Day of the Dingus'.
Though she considers herself a Cal-Yorker, Texas has been good to her. She enjoys working with the loose association of talented people that call themselves Uncle Bob's Dangerous Pants that make short films when time allows. As always, Topping is working with as many improv troupes as she can - currently she is a member iZarzamora!, Batshyt Crazy, The Special Features, Your Dad's Friends, and Comedy Spartans.
Topping's one-person improvised show, Topping Haggerty Experience (THE), has been performed in many cities including Albany, Finland (Tampere), New York City, Boston, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Miami and Toronto.
Topping is the founder of BatShyt Crazy, the angry puppet sketch comedy company and has directed many improv projects including The Khickercast Project, Techno Forest of Doom, What Men Talk About (While Women Make Us Wait), Seeking: Sexy, Sane and Single (Personal Ad Adventures), and has, over the years coached some amazingly fun improv troupes. She has also been a member of a myriad of improv troupes that include, but are not limited to ChuTopp, Zarzamora, Dancy St D'Orchestra, Drinkies GaLore, RedRover, The Bastards, Cute Kids with Guns, Scrap Metal, Channel Surfing, Liquid Paper, Amnesia Wars Etc, Bay Area Theatresports, etc.
Topping has also performed in a lot of oddly forgettable scripted plays and student film projects.
She received her Theater BA at San Francisco State University.
